The engineering firm FORSBERGS is not like other consulting firms.
If you join us, we are sure you will not regret it. At FORSBERGS you will find a unique work environment. We are all in the same room and at the same time. By this we ensure that everything is coordinated as it should be, avoiding slack time and abortive work. We practice supervised engineering. As the employee you will never be left alone, you will not get a task you cannot handle, but you will grow and develop with the job and get more and more responsibility. With your new wingman Torben Forsberg on your side you will find that you receive true master teaching.
Join us as you are
- become like the rest of us!
Some things need of course to be in writing, e.g. for the purpose of fulfilling quality procedures, and all our deliverances are predominantly in writing. But in FORSBERGS we have many work methods that are not in writing. We do not waste time by too many internal procedures, and trust that we achieve more by a very communicative and most often only verbal work method.
In FORSBERGS we do whatever we can to be accessible while we work. We speak softly and find the right balance between being quiet and communicating naturally. Wearing headsets does not fit well in FORSBERGS.
Vacant jobs
At the moment FORSBERGS have no vacancies, but expect to have them shortly. Write us a message if you think it might become of interest for you in due course.
We expect to need the following staff:
- student assistant (engineering)
- CAD operator
- junior engineers
- senior engineers
- specialists
Anyone we will select will be based purely on technical qualifications, quality skills being at the very top.

Collaboration partners
We seek active partners, small technical firms like our own, specialists etc., interested in working together with us, so that we can take on larger project aboard. Please contact us if you find this of interest.

Our jobs
Optimisation of large bridges

FORSBERGS has studied various large bridge projects such as the Øresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden for identification of optimisation potentials. Optimisation is in this context simplified to relate to reduced quantity. With reduced quantity, follows somewhat proportionally construction cost, and in turn CO2 footprint. The study has been described in a paper that was presented at the Iabse Symposium in Copenhagen april 2026.
Material choice for a bridge with 3000m+ span

FORSBERGS has together with DTU student MD Asiful Islam analysed the indirect cost and CO2 footprint associated with different options of structural material and ancillaries, for example the possibility of perforating steel troughs in order to make them lighter. The study has been described in a paper and subsequently presented at the Iabse Conference in Ghent, Belium August 2025. The paper can be dowloaded by clicking underneath.
New Limfjord Crossing

FORSBERGS is assisting the Danish Road Directorate in the technical project mangement of the 3rd Limfjord connection. The project encompasses a tunnel between Aalborg and Egholm Island, a bridge between Egholm and Nørresundby and a valley bridge at Østerådalen south of Aalborg.
Mast consoles for the Storstrømsbroen

For the Danish Road Directorate FORSBERGS has designed mast consoles to be installed on the Storstrømsbroen.
The masts are 6m tall and shall be used for various purposes such as wind bags. The consoles are post-installed
on the edge beam and apart from the load transfer do not become part of the design of the main structures.
The console has a rotation feature so that the mast can be laid down along the edge beam without being dismantled
which is an advantage when equipment shall be mounted onto the mast. The rotation hinge feature, however, leads
to a slight slack which is counteracted by post-stressing the joint by means of 4 counter bolts so that the mast top
does not move during a storm.
Mast foundations at Storstrømsbroen

FORSBERGS has designed foundations for signal masts to be placed at either end of the new Storstrømsbroen, as warning users of the traffic conditions on the bridge.
Prestudy - footbridge made from re-used wind turbine towers

FORSBERGS has with Dissing+Weitling Architecture developed sketch designs for pedestrian bridges
made from re-used wind turbine steel towers. The project has been described in a paper with
subsequent presentation at the IABSE Symposium in Manchester UK April 2024. The paper can be
downloaded by clicking below.
Replacement of Ukrainian bridge by minimass beams

Andy Coward has developed the exiting beam concept
minimass based on printed concrete and
toplogy
optimisation of materials, with the aim to reduce carbon footprint. The concept is expected to
become the rehabilitation concept for a Ukrainian bridge destroyed during the war. FORSBERGS has
contributed with specialist bridge consultancy with Andy. The project has been
described by a paper with subsequent presentation at the IABSE Symposium, April 2024, Manchester UK.
The paper can be downloaded by clicking below.
Concrete block with link

Unfortunately, there have been terrible terrorist acts where vehicles have hit people. Videos on platforms like LinkedIn demonstrate how easily a heavy concrete block can be shifted, allowing the vehicle to continue moving. FORSBERGS has developed a concept that interlinks these concrete blocks. Each block has a recess at the bottom through which a rebar link is embedded at both ends. After placing a loose steel hook on the ground, the concrete block is lowered vertically. The link only engages when the concrete blocks start to move apart. A drawing with detailed dimensions and material specifications can be downloaded by clicking below. FORSBERGS is available for free consultancy services related to further development and fabrication.

The background is primarily from bridges, but these also encompass the general structural problems as for any construction. Certified Engineers as these may be classfied within the building industry in Denmark, is not what Torben Forsberg is, but his qualifications within the heavy structures gives him a position which is comparable with it.
To this add that in FORSBERGS we walk the extra mile on behalf of our clients. We consider the economy of our clients' being equally important with our own, and implement only the most effective work methods. Clients know already, and new clients will learn. Everything is just simpler and more productive when FORSBERGS do it.

Quality
Quality is the trademark of all consulting engineering firms, and at FORSBERGS it is everything.
We draw, calculate, design and check after ISO 9001 principles. We have a zero-error culture, which despite the high ambition, is completely carried out in practice. Try us and let us show you.
